A morning of agility, strength, and creativity
On Saturday morning, we were delighted to welcome 51 Reception and Year 1 pupils for an action-packed Parkour and Gymnastics event at Moulsford. The energy and enthusiasm from the boys and girls were infectious as they took on nine different stations, showcasing agility, strength, and creativity throughout the session.
Led superbly by a dedicated team of Moulsford staff and Liam Sargeant, founder of Escape Parkour and activity leader, the pupils had the opportunity to explore a variety of exciting movements. From flips and handstands to vaults, fly rolls, cat leaps, and fly jumps, each child embraced the challenge with determination and a big smile. One of the highlights of the morning was bouldering on our magnificent climbing wall, where pupils tested their balance and coordination in a fun and supportive environment.
Following their high-energy activities, the children enjoyed some well-earned sandwiches and snacks, before receiving their certificates in recognition of their fantastic efforts. The icing on the cake was a delicious cupcake to take home!
A huge thank you goes to all the pupils for their enthusiasm and commitment, as well as to the Moulsford staff, including our teaching, office, and grounds/catering/domestic teams, for their hard work in making the event such a success. It was a truly rewarding morning for all involved, and we look forward to more opportunities to inspire and challenge our youngest pupils through sport and movement in the future!
