Half way through the school year
The first half of term has been a busy and exciting start to 2025 and we are all looking forward to a well-deserved rest next week. Every child has worked so exceptionally hard and as we enter this half way point of the academic year, we begin to look ahead to the Summer term where we can feel proud of all that we have achieved so far and enjoy the familiarity of our friends and well established routines.
It was brilliant to join the Pre-Prep musicians for their showcase on Thursday morning and thrilling for us to clap and celebrate with them as they took a bow at the end of their performance in either guitar, piano or violin. And it was wonderful to see so many parents for the Pre-Prep Parents’ Evening, we do hope you found your meetings helpful and informative.
It is so important to stop and say 'well done' to ourselves for the hard work we have put into joining in each day and trying our best to arrive at school every morning with all of the correct equipment, having slept well and eaten a good breakfast. A particular well done to the Bobcats children today, who managed to tackle having a go at cutting up their own sausages during lunch!
As a community, we draw strength from the familiar faces we see each day and the friendly morning and afternoon greeting from class teachers and other parents picking up and dropping off. If you haven't taken the opportunity to do so, pat yourselves on the back and congratulate your children on their ongoing efforts and stamina during what has been a very busy start to the year. We all deserve the opportunity to stop, take stock and rest. Well done everybody, and see you back in school the week after next!
