A Celebration of Our Wonderful World
Parents were taken on a journey of dance, descriptive writing and song as Year 1 shone a light on the beauty of Planet Earth. Dressed in shades of blue, the children moved to music in celebration of water, depicting the ocean, fun at the pool, the water cycle and rowing on the river. They each read aloud an extract from their own descriptive writing about landscapes from around the world, their use of adjectives creating an imaginative and sensitive style of expression. The assembly concluded with the children singing the classic song, 'What A Wonderful World', by Louis Armstrong. We would like to thank Mrs Russell and Mr Goff for teaching us the song.
The children all performed with great confidence and the parents watching on with pride all left with big smiles on their faces. Well done everyone!
