Moulsford and Wallingford Wildcats Hockey Event

Sunday morning saw the Moulsford/Wallingford Wildcats Under 6 Hockey event take place on the school's astro. A total of 42 enthusiastic pupils took part in a carousel-style coaching format, embracing the opportunity to develop their hockey skills in a fun and engaging environment.

We were delighted to welcome the local community club, the Wallingford Wildcats, who joined forces with our Year 1 pupils for a fantastic coaching session. The children rotated through four different activities: Passing Gates, Hockey Hungry Hippos, Clockwork Hockey, and some exciting match play to finish. Throughout the morning, they learned key hockey techniques, including shooting, push passes, Indian dribbles, and match play tactics, all while showing boundless energy and enthusiasm.

The event concluded with every participant proudly taking home a medal and a well-earned doughnut as a reward for their fantastic efforts.

A huge thank you to the Wallingford Wildcats for joining us and to their coaches for their support. We are also extremely grateful to our kitchen staff for catering for both pupils and spectators, as well as to all our staff members who helped make the morning run smoothly—whether through hosting, serving, coaching, or assisting with parking.

It was wonderful to see Moulsford out in the community, and we look forward to many more events like this in the future!

If anyone is interested in continuing with their Hockey on Sunday mornings the Wallingford Wildcats are looking to gain more members.
