Housepoint Heroes
Having just returned from another lively 'Moulsford Tots' extravaganza in the hall (and plenty of lemon drizzle cake!), I am taking stock after my second exciting week in the Pre-Prep, and inching closer towards knowing the names of each child as they arrive each morning. January can be tough going for everyone, and the weather this week has been very dull and gloomy at times. However, I have been incredibly impressed by the cheery greetings I receive each morning and it has been lovely to meet so many welcoming parents also.
Attending a Pre-Prep setting is much more than just learning to read and write; the children are learning to socialise, understand their feelings and give everything a go. There is so much to celebrate, and as such I found this gorgeous old Ted who has been sitting in the Pre-Prep foyer since our lovely new building was built (I wonder if he used to live in the Prep?), and decided that we would very much like to give him a new job by joining the class that wins the most number of housepoints on a weekly basis. He is now wearing a very grand rosette, and is excited to hear which class he will be joining when the winning class is announced during Celebration assembly on Friday, in addition to the overall total for each house. Watch this space and well done to everyone (including parents) for your continued energy and enthusiasm; February is just around the corner!
