Housepoint Heroes & Stars of the Week
Having enjoyed another lively 'Moulsford Tots' extravaganza in the hall on Wednesday (and plenty of lemon drizzle cake!), I am taking stock after my second exciting week in the Pre-Prep, and inching closer towards knowing the names of each child as they arrive each morning. January can be tough going for everyone, and the weather this week has been very dull and gloomy at times. However, I have been incredibly impressed by the cheery greetings I receive each morning and it has been lovely to meet so many welcoming parents also.
Attending a Pre-Prep setting is much more than just learning to read and write; the children are learning to socialise, understand their feelings and give everything a go. There is so much to celebrate, and as such I found this gorgeous old Ted who has been sitting in the Pre-Prep foyer since our lovely new building was built (I wonder if he used to live in the Prep?), and decided that we would very much like to give him a new job by joining the class that wins the most number of house points on a weekly basis. He is now wearing a very grand rosette, and is excited that he will be joining the winning class each week after it is announced during Celebration assembly on Fridays, in addition to the overall total for each house.
Many thanks to Mr Beardmore-Gray who joined us over in the Pre Prep for this week's Celebration Assembly. We had so much good news to share and a particularly loud cheer for the Panthers who earned a whopping 189 house points this week, taking back to their classroom a very proud Ted wearing his splendid rosette.
The following children were awarded star of the week for their contribution to the life of the Pre-Prep. A very big well done to them all!
Quinn E: Panthers
Rory D: Panthers
Walter N: Wildcats
Ptollo J: Leopards
Bella R: Pumas
George B: Lions
Daniel G: Lions
Watch this space and well done to everyone (including parents) for your continued energy and enthusiasm; February is just around the corner!
