Easter on the Horizon
Earlier in the week, I asked one of the wonderful Wildcat pupils where they lived. Was it near school or further away? They responded with ' the place where it rains a lot Mrs Gemmell, do you know it?'. Indeed, I do enjoy these brilliantly honest interactions with the children who see the world through such a clear and delightfully honest perspective. The awe and wonder which is so unique to a Pre-Prep setting brings even the greyest of days to life, and the excitement of another wet play means board games and Lego together in the hall, which should not be underestimated as a brilliant way to shelter from the rain!
Now that the sun is shining, we are thinking ahead to how best to use the great outdoors around us. Plans are underway to visit Mr Beardmore-Gray's vegetable patch and we begin to look ahead to Easter and the beginning of Spring as a new season. This week we gathered together with Mrs Braden to learn our first Easter song which we hope to perform during the Show and Share events towards the end of this term. The singing was illustrated with a great deal of hopping and bunny ears, so Easter really is on the horizon!
The following children have been awarded Star of the Week certificates for their brilliant work in school this week:
Imogen M - Wildcats
Thomas M - Panthers
Ivy M - Pumas
William H - Bobcats
Joe M - Lions
Leo M - Lions
