The Governors are committed to broadening access to Moulsford by offering means-tested financial support with the payment of fees to eligible parents/guardians.
What Are Independent School Bursaries?
Known as a School Bursary, this support may be awarded depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent family circumstances.
Awards are made after visits, and via the outside organisation Bursary Administration, at the discretion of the Bursary Awards Committee, who will calculate award levels in relation to a family's financial circumstances. Our school bursary awards are subject to repeat testing of parental means each year and may be varied upwards or downwards, depending on parental circumstances.
Requests for financial support usually fall into two categories:
- New applicants to our independent school, where a place has been offered but parents/guardians are unable to fund the tuition fees and/or other costs in full or part.
- Existing pupils where a change in parents’/guardians’ circumstances has resulted in difficulty in meeting tuition fees and may result in the child being withdrawn part way through a stage of education.
For more information on how to apply for a school bursary, please contact the admissions team.
No, a Bursary is not a loan and financial assistance does not need to be repaid.
A Bursary is means-tested financial support to help with the payment of fees. Requests for financial support usually fall into two categories:
• New applicants to the school, where a place has been offered but parents/guardians are unable to fund the tuition fees and/or other costs in full or part.
• Existing pupils where a change in parents’/guardians’ circumstances has resulted in difficulty in meeting tuition fees and may result in the child being withdrawn part way through a stage of education
A Bursary usually takes approximately five weeks to process, once full application details have been received.
You should apply for a Bursary once you have accepted the offer of your son’s place at Moulsford.
Moulsford uses an outside organisation called Bursary Administration to handle Bursary applications. Bursary awards are made after visits, at the discretion of the Bursary Awards Committee, who will calculate award levels in relation to a family's financial circumstances. Moulsford does not currently offer scholarships at any stage of entry. Means-tested financial support (known as a Bursary) may be awarded to eligible families.
