The Start of the Summer Term
Welcome back and I hope you all had a restful Easter break. As we step into the Summer Term, there is a real sense of excitement and energy in the air. This term is always a favourite – not only because of the longer days and warmer weather, but also because it’s a time where we see the children truly flourish as they prepare to move to their new year group at the end of this academic year. During our first assembly back on Wednesday morning (having spotted a number of new haircuts, missing teeth and longer legs), we read a story about a koala who worried about change. We agreed that it’s okay to feel nervous about new experiences and talked through some of things we can do to prepare for change.
We have so much to look forward to this term with plenty of opportunities for discovery, creativity, and fun – from Activities Week and sports day to class trips and end-of-year celebrations.
