A hugely enjoyable trip
This year saw the return of the Year 6 French Trip after a brief hiatus and there were plenty of activities to keep the boys (and staff!) busy during the week.
Highlights included a Frankenstein-like (but very funny) mad boulanger who showed us how to make croissants, a mouth-watering visit to the Chocolats de Beussent chocolate factory, a trip to the Naturpom’ orchards where we tasted some delicious freshly-squeezed apple juice, and a wonderful visit to the Nausicaa Sea Life Centre (sharks and all!).
We stayed at the Acorn Adventures camping centre in Ardres where the boys were also put through their paces with plenty of team-building and initiative-taking activities (raft-building, water challenges, climbing…).
All of this not to mention the scrumptious local ice-cream shop which we frequented several times. A big hit with boys and adults alike, with such flavours as ‘Schtroumphf’ (Smurf), violet, mojito (!) and mandarin. Mmmm délicieux!
Excellent behaviour from the boys and great support from the staff made this a hugely enjoyable trip. Merci to all involved.
