Leo becomes a Grid Kid at Silverstone
As you may be aware, the traditional ‘Grid Girls’ at the British Grand Prix have been replaced by Grid Kids! This new role gives children the honour of standing in front of an F1 car and holding a flag before the start of the race.
Leo R in Year 4 was recently invited to apply for this position, and he had to submit a letter from Mr Beardmore-Gray confirming his good record at school and also record a short video to support his application. This consisted of him delivering a speech whilst seated in his kart surrounded by his trophies.
We are delighted to say that Leo has been successful in his application and will accompany one of the Formula 1 drivers at the British Grand Prix on 8th July.
We are sure that Leo will have a wonderful day and we look forward to hearing all about it.
