Bug-hunting and mini-beasts
Year 1 packed a magnifying glass to set off on an exciting trip to Basildon Park this week. As soon as we arrived the boys were immersed in bug-hunting, tree climbing, flower smelling and running around the fabulous grounds.
They’ve brought back lots of ideas and knowledge about the natural world around us and have already written recounts about their trip. They will be using it as a basis for their science lessons over the coming weeks. It was lovely to see the boys so carefree and animated. They were certainly excited to have the opportunity to run around and get hands on with bugs and mini-beasts.
