Coronation Celebrations
Pre-Prep fully embraced the opportunity to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and we spent our Friday afternoon holding a street party. Proceedings kicked off with an outfit change into our red, white and blue clothes followed by our BBQ lunch. This saw the children sitting in a horseshoe formation which spanned the length and breadth of the hall. King Charles was, of course, in attendance. The children donned their own home-made crowns and divided into house groups for activities including: relay races, finger painting, collaging, crown hunting and monarch butterfly craft. At the end of the afternoon we were joined by Mrs Braden who led us in a rendition of God Save the King before we enjoyed scones with cream and jam for afternoon snack. Hopefully this will have started the weekend off with a swing and your own celebrations will be just as joyous.
