A positive return
We are simply delighted to have welcomed Year 2 back this week and, with obvious limitations, things feel largely normal for Pre-Prep. The boys in Year 2 have come back to class and, although they are loving seeing their friends again, they are knuckling down for the last curriculum week before activities week.
The boys have been working on story writing in English and directional language in Maths meaning we have been able to spend some of our time outside during lessons. This week's Humanities lesson has been a credit to the home learning. The boys recalled a huge amount of information about The Great Fire of London and came up with some great ideas about how the city could be rebuilt to avoid such a disaster again. The boys’ learning is, of course, enormously important but the opportunities they have had to socialise and play with each other, in a socially distanced way, is clearly invaluable and I am impressed with how resilient your sons appear to have been.
I hope they are enjoying their time in school before they begin their Year 3 journey.
