An intrepid excursion to The Living Rainforest, Hampstead Norreys
On Thursday, Year 5 went on an intrepid excursion to the very depths of a tropical rainforest, without a pith helmet in sight. Tying in Geography, ICT and Science, we explored the rainforest looking at the rainforest location, the different layers of the forest, as well as all the flora and fauna of our surroundings. We were taken in small groups on guided walks by experienced Rangers as we discussed the sustainability of rainforests with logging, the pet trade and bush meat being of great concern to the boys. Overall a great trip!
