Learning about a different habitat
The Reception classes loved their trip to the rainforest on Tuesday. They learned about the different types of leaves, experienced the climate and learned all about foods that grow in the rainforest. The boys learned all about omnivores, herbivores and carnivores as well as animals that are insectivores. They looked at the different types of teeth that each species has and were fascinated to learn that some types of fish have similar teeth to their own!
After a busy morning of learning and listening the children were then pleased to have a run around and spend time in the playground (and even Miss Shirfield was spotted on the slide!). It really was a fantastic day out.
