A Day with a Runaway Pea
Bobcats and Year 1 were treated to readings of the Runaway Pea stories by author Kjartan Poskitt on Monday. Illustrator, Alex Willmore’s skills were put to the test as the children were invited to make suggestions as to where the pea might go next. He drew amazing pictures of the suggestions and Mr Poskitt came up with rhymes spontaneously to accompany the children’s ideas. Each boy was given a copy of Mr Poskitt’s newest book, The Runaway Pea Left Behind, to take home.
