A Magical Day Out
On Tuesday, Year 4 visited the Harry Potter Studios. It was amazing! We were lucky enough to come this year because there was a new exhibit… ‘The Forbidden Forest’! But unluckily we had to drive all the way to Watford by coach…groan! And not all of us do well in coaches! It was well worth it though.
The first exhibit we came to was the Great Hall. We felt just like Harry, Ron and Hermione would have felt when they first opened the doors to Hogwarts, it was spectacular! And coming face to face, well knee to, with Hagrid was also an eye opener. He was massive!
We also saw a giant model of Hogwarts Castle; the Hogwarts Express; Privet Drive and Diagon Alley. Approaching the Forbidden Forest with trepidation we saw baby spiders as big as my teacher; Aragog filled up half my classroom! I know right, pretty scary.
Now to the most mysterious room; full of Basilisk skeletons, dragon heads, werewolf masks and suits; don’t forget Buckbeak! We even got a picture taken on green screen of us on brooms. We saw the Knight Bus, the flying Ford Anglia, Hagrid’s motorbike, the potions classroom, the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, Hagrid’s hut, the Tri Wizard Cup, the Philosopher’s Stone, Neville’s Rememberal and the Golden Egg. There was even a room where all the castles and buildings were designed! It really was magical and we felt as if we had entered Hogwarts for the day.
