A Return to Serre Chevalier
The annual Moulsford ski trip saw us return to the Hotel Olympic in Serre Chevalier during the week before Christmas. A very early departure meant that we headed off bleary-eyed but all very excited for the six days ahead. We were very lucky with the snow this year and all abilities, from our four first-timers right through to the old hands, enjoyed some wonderful skiing conditions. We were also fortunate enough to see familiar faces among the instructors and all the children were able to make great progress as the days went by.
The skiing was supplemented, of course, by a good programme of evening activities; competitive quiz and bowling nights and some high-octane bum-boarding were among the highlights. The prospect of a ‘drone-induced’ extension to the trip did generate some excitement but thankfully Gatwick had returned to near-normality by the time we returned, tired but happy after a great week.
Through all of it our boys were great company, impressing the hotel staff and instructors with their manners and friendliness, and I cannot commend them highly enough for their role in making the trip so very enjoyable and successful.
