Exploring the Non-Core Subjects
This term we have held our Non-Core Subject Showcase events for Years 3 to 7.
These showcases have given pupils the chance to show their parents what they have been learning in the non-core subjects. Depending on the year group, parents were able to learn more about Art, Design Technology, Drama, French, Geography, History, ICT, Latin, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, PE and Theology, Philosophy and Religion.
During the evening teachers were on hand to chat to parents about what pupils have been doing and the progress made, or in some cases pupils were in the driving seat and presented their own work, particularly in STEM and PE.
As well as two Parents’ Evenings per year and regular formal reporting, these showcase evenings provide another opportunity for parents to hear more about what their children are doing in their lessons.
