Visit to support learning in STEM
Year 6 visited Silverstone as part of their STEM curriculum, tying in with their topic on ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’. The boys had the chance to visit lots of different interactive zones in the showroom before having a workshop on the mechanics of the cars and how engines work. They got to see racing cars dating back from the 1920s right through to today’s Formula E cars. One of the highlights was a tour of the track and standing underneath the famous bridge. It was a fantastic trip and the pupils were a credit to the school.
