Whole year group Maths lesson
Year 6 undertook a space mission trying to land 'The Mars Rover.' They were given six different landing sites each one unique in terms of what the terrain could offer, geographical features and the landing height. In groups boys had to analyse whether their 200m radius (4cm on paper) would enable them to prove there was evidence of life on Mars. In groups they then had to rank the landing sites they investigated and present back to the year group as to their advice. The boys had a lot of fun doing this and the staff were very impressed by their collaboration and courage to present to everyone.
