House Quiz Heats Up the Spring Term!
Thursday afternoon saw the school buzzing with excitement as the grand finals of our House Quiz Competition took place in the Theatre! After a week of anticipation and plenty of brainpower, representatives from each house stepped up to battle it out for the coveted House Quiz Trophy, to be awarded during our Spring Final Assembly.
At the start of the week, all forms participated in a 25-question preliminary round, narrowing the field down to one representative per house from each form. The top-scoring pupils then advanced to the thrilling finals on Thursday afternoon.
The finals were split into three hotly-contested events:
- Years 3 & 4
- Years 5 & 6
- Years 7 & 8
Using Blooket, a fast-paced online quiz platform, each final challenged students with 40 multiple-choice questions, where players had 7 lives and just 15 seconds to answer each question. With no room for error and everything to play for, it truly was a winner-takes-all showdown!
The energy in the room was electric as competitors showed off their quick thinking and teamwork under pressure. It was a fantastic showcase of general knowledge, competitive spirit, and house pride!
