A tasty way to learn Spanish
The Year 3 boys enjoyed a fantastic Spanish tapas lunch in the sunshine on Thursday. Dressed in the colours of the Spanish flag or wearing Spanish football kit, they all got into the spirit of the day. The tables were stacked with delicious Spanish food and the appearance of the sun meant that we finally had more of a Mediterranean climate as lunch was enjoyed outside on the front lawn. The boys have been learning various different food and drink items and combined this with the high frequency vocabulary learnt earlier in the year to ask for food and drink in Spanish.
The boys were given this fun opportunity to put their knowledge to practical use and enjoyed a delicious array of Spanish Tapas dishes, including las gambas al ajillo, la tortilla española, y las croquetas, all washed down with some zumo de naranja. ¡Qué delicioso!
