Walls of the World
The boys in 7J - together with a surprise visitor - were delighted to give a presentation on 'Walls (and fences and bridges) of the World'. The boys conducted their own research, prepared their own slides and wrote their own scripts and discussed an array of walls, fences and bridges. These ranged from those immediately recognised around the world (such as the Great Wall of China, Hadrian's Wall and the Golden Gate Bridge) to those which, while important, might be less well-known (such as the wall / moat of Benin and the bridge at Mostar). The assembly finished with an appeal to all to build bridges that join us rather to put up walls between us.
