Lessons from the 2024 Olympics
7D performed the first Form Assembly of the academic year on Thursday. Their parents and the rest of the school gathered to hear the boys talk about the important moments from the 2024 Olympic Games that taught us valuable life lessons. We heard about athletes Simone Biles, Adam Peaty, Keeley Hodgkinson and Alex Yee and reflected on the eight things we learned from them and others at the Olympics:
- Showing emotion is a strength
- Age is just a number
- Taking a break can help you come back stronger
- Trust your instinct
- True winners cheer each other on
- We all have the power to change our story
- If you work hard enough you can get there in the end
- Never underestimate the power of positive words
It was an uplifting Assembly and the boys all delivered their lines with confidence and big smiles. Well done to them all.
