A day full of literary wonder
Year 3 visited The Story Museum in Oxford this week. They started off wandering into the Whispering Wood, an indoor forest where every tree has a story to tell and a secret to reveal. After this, the boys absolutely loved exploring the new exhibit Kaboom: the art of making comics, where they also enjoyed some time reading the Beano on a beanbag!
The next stop was the Enchanted Library where the boys went down the rabbit hole, into the land of Winnie the Pooh to play a game of Poohsticks, through the wardrobe into Narnia, into the world of the Snowman and into Horrid Henry’s bedroom!
After this, they took part in a fantastic workshop in which they designed their own Chocolate Room for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, their class reader for this term. Finally they enjoyed a lovely walk around Christchurch College learning more about Alice in Wonderland.
A wonderful day out for Year 3!
