Axe-throwing and Archery Tag

To build a positive shared experience and to start the term in an exciting manner, the boys in 8E, 8M and 8R kicked off their term with a (freezing cold!) trip to the Ridgeway Activities Centre.  The students were in lively spirits, as they showed that there’s nothing like throwing an axe to keep warm!

The group enjoyed both archery tag and axe throwing, learning new skills and making super progress. Axe-throwing is a fun lumberjack inspired sport where the boys had to throw an axe at one of the tree round recycled wooden targets. Once they had mastered the basics, they moved on to more advanced throws and trick shots.

The second activity was archery tag, known as combat archery, where the boys got to shoot arrows at their friends! It could be described as archery meets dodgeball, and it was a lot of fun!
