Visiting the Williams Factory and Museum

On Friday the Year 8 boys went to Williams Racing. 8E were joined by 8M and 8R teamed up with 8W. First up was the Composites Challenge, this comprised of making a new nose cone for a Formula 1 racing car. Next up was the Esports Simulator Experience, which I know was a firm favourite especially with the popularity of gaming amongst the boys. The day concluded with a tour of the museum which celebrated the company's early days founded by Frank Williams who started the business using the cash from his work as a grocery salesman. During his tenure he recorded nine constructors championships as well as seven drivers' championships. It just shows what courage and curiosity can achieve. I'm sure after today we have a couple of budding Alex Albon's or Franco Colapinto's in the Moulsford ranks.
