As you read this, The Sporting Lunch held at the RAC in London will be drawing to a close, having (hopefully) raised a great deal of money for the Edward Bush Legacy Fund. Thank you to all who have supported this event. We are especially pleased to have representation from Moulsford Dads across all year groups in the school, as well as a large number of former parents who were joined by staff from Harrow, Cheltenham College, Radley, Eton, St. Edward’s Oxford, Stowe, The Oratory and Wellington. Former England and Bath rugby player David Flatman did the honours as our compère, and Geordan Murphy, retired Leicester Tigers and Ireland legend, was a special guest. Thank you to the team of Moulsford Dads and staff who have worked hard as a committee to pull this very special event together and to the generous donors of the auction lots. We will update you on the money raised as soon as we can.
Working away behind the scenes over the past few months have been members of the Parents Association who are busy preparing for the Christmas Fair, which takes place on 10th December. We are delighted that this event will be in person, for the first time since 2019. We are looking forward to seeing the transformation of the Sports Hall, the return of Santa’s Grotto, the Year 8 café, as well as hearing the Junior and Senior choirs serenading us with festive songs.
We talk a lot about the Moulsford community and I continue to feel very lucky that we have such willing parents and staff who work so hard behind the scenes to lay on such wonderful events. A defining feature of all PA events this term, and the RAC lunch, has been the excellent collaboration between the parents and the school. It is this partnership that makes Moulsford so special.
