84 certificates awarded
At the end of April our Years 6, 7 and 8 boys took part in the Junior Maths Challenge. The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice challenge which encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. It is aimed at students across the UK, with hundreds of schools taking part. The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience. The boys performed superbly and each boy received a certificate for their performance. As a school we were awarded a superb 20 GOLD certificates, 28 SILVER certificates and 36 BRONZE certificates.
Boys who were awarded a GOLD certificate included:
Luke D, Benji M-C, Edward G, Gilby B (all Year 6), Felix C, Billy V, Henry B, Xander M (all Year 7), Leonardo M, Henry A, Angus L, James D, Leo R, Daniel G, Charlie K, Archie D-P, Oliver N, Freddy C and Alfie J (all Year 8).
