Certificates Presented to Years 7 and 8
Earlier this term boys in Years 7 and 8 took part in The Junior Mathematical Challenge. The challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice competition aimed at students across the UK. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
This year across both Year 7and 8, we had 47 Certificate Winners; 21 Bronze; 19 Silver and 7 Gold and James L in Year 8 has made it through to the Junior Maths Olympiad so a particular well done to him on this amazing achievement!
Gold winners were James L, Nathan VB, Thomas F, Max F, Ben W, Leonardo M and Josh C.
These boys have all been invited to the Junior Kangaroo Round as well.
Silver certificates went to Zach W, Ollie C, Matthew B, Harry M, Harry O, Jack D, Hugo T, Thomas H, Jack B, Oliver H, Tom DB, Zac M, Thomas M, Wilf Q, Daniel G, Sean F, Alfie G, Ben M and Harry T.
Bronze winners were Freddy C, Jacob G, Kit H, James D, Russell F, Daniel G, Raphael W, Hort W, Edward W, Monty D, John P, Felix B, Milo M, Sam C, Angus L, Freddie H, Hector B, Mikey H, Max DM, James G and Charlie W.
