Problem solving in the sunshine!
The boys in Year 5 have been taking advantage of the sunshine by moving their Maths lessons outside. The boys were asked to prove how much a hand weighs, and using a tray, a measuring jug, scales and a measuring cylinder the groups worked through their ideas to reach an accurate conclusion.
After some brilliant teamwork and ideas that included coolers, balance beams and leaves, the winning group finally used Archimedes’ theory to find a value. Well done to all for their positivity and hard work!
