Under 11s and 1st XI travel to Stowe
Moulsford's Under 11s enjoyed an afternoon of hockey in the beautiful surroundings of Stowe School this week. The format of the tournament had changed this year and allowed all the teams to play each other in one group. The boys played some good free flowing hockey with excellent link up play and speed in the attacking phase. They remained unbeaten during the tournament, beating some strong teams to top the group and win the tournament.
The 1st XI braved it under horrific weather conditions to play some excellent hockey against strong opponents. They played fantastically well as a team, working together to produce some excellent phases of hockey. Their passing to each other and tactical awareness of other players on the pitch improved with each match. There were some lovely finishes on show and solid marking at the back from our defence, without forgetting Freddie A producing some outstanding saves!
A great effort, boys. Well done!
