Albie and Ben Triumph
Our Under 13 Real Tennis Doubles team, consisting of Albie T (Year 8) and Ben P (Year 7), triumphed in the National Under 13 Cup on Thursday, retaining the trophy for the second year running. Albie, last year’s winner with Monty T, brought invaluable experience to the team, while Ben showed remarkable poise and skill in his debut Real Tennis fixtures.
Competing in the morning section of the tournament (Group 1), the team delivered commanding performances in all three pool games to qualify for the national semi-finals. Their results were as follows:
- The Oratory: 6-1
- Wellington College: 6-1
- St Philip House: 6-2
In the semi-finals, Albie and Ben faced Holyport College, securing a solid 6-2 victory to advance to the final. There, they delivered a flawless performance, defeating St Philip House 6-0 to retain the trophy and claim the championship title.
