Moulsford artists to be exhibited at the Ashmolean

We are delighted that seven Moulsford boys have been selected to have their artwork exhibited at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford as part of Young Art Oxford 2020.

Young Art Oxford is an annual art exhibition open to all Oxfordshire schools with children from Reception to Year 9.  The theme this year was 2020 Vision and the boys produced some fantastic and imaginative artwork, under the guidance of Mrs Cummings.  Congratulations to Falkie B (Year 8), Freddy C, Angus L, Oliver N, Theo T, Bertie W (Year 6) and Sebby M (Year 5).

Young Art Oxford is a wonderful opportunity for young aspiring artists to have their work judged by well-known professionals and artists and to exhibit at the prestigious Ashmolean Museum.  Last year there were over 3300 entries across 49 schools with 600 pieces of artwork on display.

The judges for 2020 were acclaimed artists Korky Paul, Dr Sarah Simblet, David Melling and Kieran Stiles.  The artwork is exhibited at the museum over three days in May, and is then sold off to raise money for Cancer Research UK and more specifically towards their research into finding cures and improving treatments for childhood cancers.  The first Young Art Oxford exhibition was held in 2008, and since then, more than £150,000 has been raised for Cancer Research UK.
