A festive celebration
The Moulsford Carol Service is always a very special event, and this year was no exception. The Senior Choir were in beautiful voice, led by Head Chorister Monty T who performed the traditional 'Once in Royal David’s City' opening solo. The choir went on to perform a number of songs with Teddy C and Sam A as soloists and there were performances from Year 5 who sung ‘Welcome the Child’ and Year 6, who sung the French carol ‘Douce Nuit’.
There were readers from across the school from Years 2 to 8 who delivered the lessons with confidence and clarity, and Mrs Russell, our Acting Head of Pre-Prep and the Headmaster, Mr Beardmore-Gray read the final lessons. Thanks to the English Department for preparing them so well. This year also saw the addition of a drama piece with Will J, Toby W and Seth C performing ‘King John’s Christmas’ by AA Milne.
Thanks go to Karen Braden, Director of Music, Ash Edwards, Head of Drama, Richard Martin, Head of English, and all of the staff who prepared the children so thoroughly, and to all of the parents who supported preparation at home, and at the service itself. Merry Christmas!
