Congratulations on musical success
This term we had over 40 children taking practical music exams from the Prep Test in piano right up to Grade 6 in piano and singing for musical theatre. The exams covered a variety of instruments with exams taken in piano, saxophone, violin, singing for musical theatre, rock and pop vocals and some doing their Music Theory. We are delighted that all boys passed their exams, with a number gaining Distinctions and Merits which is a fantastic achievement.
Congratulations to them all and a big thank you to all the visiting instrumental teachers. Results were announced in Assembly and the children should all be very proud of the hard work they put into preparing for these exams.
This week the musicians in the Pre-Prep performed beautifully in their first ever concert and all of the children enjoyed performances by pupils who have been learning the piano, guitar, violin, and fife. Well done to all of our performers, who played so confidently and shared their love of music with our school community. Thanks also to the instrumental teachers who nurture their talents and help them to grow as musicians.
