Music across the whole school
On Wednesday and Thursday evenings we were treated to performances by musicians and actors, who gave a sneak preview of their work in progress as part of our STEAM week events programme. Nearly 70 children took to the stage, performing as soloists and representing the Senior Choir, Pop Choir, String Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and drama scholars. Over a third of our musicians were performing for the first time as part of the ensembles programme, and we were thrilled to see what these new groups have already achieved in the first weeks of the year. We're grateful to the visiting music teachers who have supported these ensembles and are looking forward to seeing them develop throughout the year. Well done to all involved!
On Thursday we were then so proud of our younger musicians, who gave a lovely Pre-Prep Showcase performance yesterday as part of our STEAM week programme. Well done to all the performers, some of whom were giving their very first performance!
