Travelling Book Reading
In the build up to World Book Week, the boys were asked to take part in an Extreme Reading competition during half term. The idea was for the boys to take a photo of themselves reading in an ‘extreme’ location. It was clear that the added freedom provided this year with no Covid restrictions added to the creativity of the challenge and there were some wild and crazy entries!
This year we received the highest number of entries ever with just short of 100!
There was a lot of skiing action in the Alps, tree climbing, some amazing acrobatic skills on the trampoline, lego reptiles, trips to London, an array of animals and a few cupboards!
It was a tough decision but the winner was Xander D in Year 6 pictured in front of 10 Downing Street enjoying a good book! Runners up were Dexter N on a camel and William S tubing down a mountain (with some fantastic camerawork thrown in!). Special mention must also go to brothers Hugh, Albie and Xander M for their brilliant videos – so good we couldn’t choose between them!
Well done to everyone for being so creative and extreme – same time next year?!
