Interactive Storytelling Workshop
On Tuesday the boys in Year 7 had a virtual visit from author and funny song performer Gareth P Jones. Gareth is a Blue Peter award winning author of over 40 books for children of all ages and also a festival performer. He is the author of the Dragon Detective Agency series of books and comic-gothic book, The Considine Curse as well as a series of books called Ninja Meerkats.
The boys took part in an interactive short story session with Gareth where they had to decide what happened next at different points along the way, with the results often getting stranger and stranger. The session then ended with the song ‘Death or Ice Cream’ which was certainly unexpected!
It was a wacky morning and the boys all enjoyed the opportunity to get creative with words.
