First ever Moulsford boy to reach the final!

Harry M from 8M spent Friday morning at Windsor Castle in the presence of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall for the finals of the ninth BBC Radio 2 500 Words story-writing competition for children aged between 5 and 13, which this year attracted over 110,000 entries.  Harry is the first boy from Moulsford to ever reach the finals in the competition’s nine-year history.

Having been selected as one of six ‘wild cards’, Harry joined the top 50 finalists and the judging panel for an extravaganza of live music and sensational story-telling, presented by DJ Zoe Ball, with the six winning wordsmiths announced on-air by celebrity narrators including David Walliams, Hugh Bonneville, Michael Sheen and Helen McCrory. There was also live music from Busted, Tom Walker and Matilda the Musical.

Harry’s entry, called Reality, is available to read here.

Many congratulations to Harry on this fantastic achievement!
