The history of the union flag
5B presented a fun and fact-filled assembly based on the history of the United Kingdom on Thursday. They told us how the four nations came together and how that led to the creation of the union jack. They then tested our knowledge and listening skills with a true or false quiz, where the rest of the school and parents did very well! The boys did a fantastic job of knowing all of their lines and spoke with confidence. Very slick indeed!
5B have now challenged the school to come up with their own version of a flag to represent the four kingdoms, with more of a nod to Wales perhaps! Entries can be taken to the 5B classroom.
