A day dedicated to speaking and understanding language
We held our annual Moulsford No Pens Day Wednesday this week, to raise awareness of the importance of speaking and understanding language. For one day the boys put down their pens, and all lessons and activities focused on speaking and understanding skills rather than writing or using a computer keyboard.
The day started off with a virtual Assembly which looked at the skills of speaking and listening and featured videos of boys from across the school talking about what these skills mean to them.
Over lunchtime there were some conversation starters placed on the centre of the tables – to help the boys chat to each other and find out something about their friends that they didn't know before.
Mrs Laming also did some signing lessons in Pre-Prep, including some festive sign language to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
