Four Prep Schools head to the States
What a race to run! We were so proud of the boys’ engagement across the school with our Race Across America, which ended last week. On Monday 22nd February, we started our race in San Francisco with the finish line in New York City awaiting us, 4828 kilometres away. Our main goal was to get the boys out and exercising outdoors, helping us all stay healthy both physically and mentally. A little competition also doesn’t hurt and we were joined by three other schools, Caldicott, Clifton College and Taunton Prep – the race was well and truly on! It was a surprisingly tight contest throughout, with the lead changing a number of times as we weaved our way through the different States of America. We reached New York in second place, only 3 hours behind Caldicott on the 9th day of the challenge.
Well done to everyone who got involved. Boys of all ages got stuck in, along with a fantastic number of staff. A cracking way to finish off our virtual sport.
