House Competitions
Towards the end of the last half of term, we launched our virtual House race from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats on the north coast of Scotland. The boys had to complete activities on foot, logging their distances to move their House forward in the race and on the map.
We were amazed at how close the race was, stretching up through the entirety of Great Britain, passing Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Carlisle, Glasgow and Edinburgh on the way. It was really exciting as we mapped the routes and watched as the Houses jostled for positon.
If you want to know the results, ask the boys. It came down to 900 metres for 3rd and 4th, and 5 minutes and 31 seconds for the top spot!
This half term we have embarked upon our next challenge – Race to America! Racing Caldicott, Clifton College and Taunton Prep School from San Francisco to New York. The goal, to stay active and healthy………. But a little friendly competition doesn’t hurt.
