Extra-Curricular Activities Begin
Despite lockdown, Mr Symonds has been very keen to run an Activities Programme during Virtual Moulsford to ensure that the boys have the opportunity to learn new skills and take part in some fun pursuits away from their schoolwork.
The new programme was launched this week with a choice of activities for boys in every year group. The activities and challenges have been designed to complement their virtual school experience and ranged from things like ‘Random Act of Kindness’, to ‘Book Club’ and ‘Cartoon Drawing’ to ‘Toy Wars’. There were also some firm favourites included like ‘Taskmaster’ and ‘Lego Club’. After a very lively Year 7 and 8 Taskmaster Mrs Squire said that she hadn’t laughed that much in ages and Year 5 and 6 Olympic History with Mr Weeks also had a lot of much-needed giggling too.
The activities were completely optional but lots of boys joined in and we hope that more boys will embrace this opportunity as we extend the programme over the coming term, especially as the weather (hopefully) changes and we can get them all outside again!
