Pawns not prawns!
Chess Club got underway in the Pre-Prep this week, with a group of keen Year 1 and Year 2 children endeavouring to beat their opponent across the chess battlefield. The boys began by setting up the boards and learning some key terminology before focusing on the plentiful soldiers that they are certain are pawns, not prawns, in a game of pawn wars. They concluded by playing a match, concentrating to the end, not wishing to go home. Well done boys!
