The Show Must Go On
For the last four years Bertie W in Year 7 has taken part in the Christmas production at the Cornerstone in Didcot. Led by a professional cast of talented actor musicians, the last three shows have been full of festive cheer and catchy songs. Unfortunately due to Covid and all live theatre being cancelled, Goblin Theatre who write the shows decided to press ahead with their version of ‘A Christmas Carol: The Haunted Service’ but instead release it as a podcast. The professional cast spent several weeks rehearsing and recording and then six young cast members were chosen who took part in Zoom rehearsals after school, before recording their sections on a Sunday afternoon. The resulting podcast was then released on 19th December for download.
