Thank you to Moulsford parents

At the end of last term, we collected food and Christmas gifts for the Wallingford Food Bank. The pandemic has seen a surge in the use of food banks nationally and this has certainly been the case locally as well. April and December were their busiest months and on the last three sessions of the month up to and including Christmas Eve, the amazing team at the food bank had provided food to 286 people – 174 adults and 112 children.

A number of schools and organisations donated food and Christmas gifts in December but Wallingford Food Bank wanted to make special mention of Moulsford in a communication sent out after Christmas:

I should like to make special mention of Moulsford Prep School who rang me to say they would like to donate some gifts for the children and families in need.  I was expecting perhaps a couple of bags but the reality was a mini bus and car packed to the roof with bags of food!  This is the first time that we have received a donation from them and I was told by one of the staff that they were amazed at the response from parents who were very anxious to help.

The Charities team would also like to reiterate their thanks – the Moulsford community never fail to amaze us with their generosity. We hope to arrange another collection as soon as lockdown allows.
