Year 5 singers have a song in their hearts
On Tuesday 3rd March, the whole of Year 5 (54 boys) attended the new Choral Day event at Pangbourne College. Spending the day in the fabulous Falklands Memorial Chapel, they had great fun singing and playing vocal games and warm ups, in order to both strengthen their vocal techniques, and give them that magical experience of singing in a large choir! They learnt a song based on ‘Canon in D’, by Pachelbel, which also incorporated ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ by Oasis, which formed the main activity, and which they also performed in a short, informal concert at the end of the day for their parents. Everyone was also treated to a performance of ‘Blue Moon’, by the Pangbourne Chamber Choir. All returned to Moulsford, having had a fantastic day of singing, with stronger vocal chords, and a ‘song in their hearts’!
